I can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. -Philippians 4:13
We both grew up in the church in two parent households, however our journey's looked very differently and our relationship with Christ did not come until after we met and started attending church together.
Ken grew up in a family of seven in a very chaotic environment which included screaming, alcohol, open conversations and physical abuse. Tish grew up in a family of five in quite the opposite, no conflict and sheltered. While there was lots of love in both it looked quite different. We both strayed from church in our high school years without really knowing Christ let alone having a relationship with Christ. We met later in life after Ken was married briefly and Tish was married twice with two children. The Sunday after our first date we attended church together, we were welcomed with open arms and our relationship not only grew, our relationship with Christ began. Through a journey class we participated in at our church we learned how each of our pasts were defining and impacting us and we needed to forgive and lean on Christ to strengthen our relationship and relationship with others.
Our journey together has included overcoming addictions, loss, financial struggles, multiple moves, parenting in a split family environment, being parenting partners to those needing guidance raising their children, foster parents, scout leaders, opening our homes to many diverse people throughout the years and all while being active church members since meeting in early 2006.
God has closed many doors throughout the years yet opened others and we are so thankful to be called to lead this ministry.

Iron Sharpens Iron, and One Man Sharpens Another. Proverbs 27:17
As I stand firmly on this scripture I have come to know that God can use the wounds of a friend to sharpen us and provide accountability in our lives. I was a product of my environment coming from addiction, domestic violence, sexual abuse and mental health for nearly for 32 years. Through God's Grace and Mercy these chains have been broken. As we take back what the enemy stole we continue to fight the good fight and when I decided to tap out and surrender to God wholeheartedly my life began to change.
People matter and God uses us to help others. As women of True Vine Restoration we encourage and stay accountable to one another so we can be happy, joyous and free.
True Vine provides the stability and structure that is needed to successfully transition back into life and I am forever grateful to be part of this ministry.
I have been reborn, Thank you Jesus!

I am a child of God. I am saved. Jesus is my redeemer. I was born under the generational curse of abuse and addiction that lasted for almost 24 years. As soon as I was old enough to make a decision I fell into sinful footsteps and continued until I had no other hope but to cry out to Jesus. All glory to God, that there were kingdom servants near me when I cried out that helped find a safe place for me to learn how to trust God with my heart and heal me. Surrender is hard. This is the life I chose now: The gift of faith, The gift of grace and The gift of freedom. Only God, through the blood of Jesus Christ makes these gifts not only attainable but claimable by God's promises.
The same people that helped me when I cried out for help now have opened a faith based transitional house. True Vine Restoration which I am blessed to be a part of. God's grace is free! He restores our minds, our relationships but first and foremost God restores us to Himself by cleansing us and helping us live life focused on heaven walking in the Holy Spirit by faith not by sight.
Hebrews 11:1 says "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen"
This is my testimony Thank you Jesus!

I am a new creation, saved by grace through faith in my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
My journey with the Lord as a Christ follower didn't start until I was 32 years old. I hit rock bottom after living many years selfishly, abusing alcohol and drugs, which led to the dissolution of my marriage. By the grace of God, I was given a new life in Christ. I am now blessed to be married to the love of my life and my spiritual mentor, Erik, and we have two amazing adult children together. Our family serves the Lord, as we want everyone we meet to have that same relationship with God. My life has been shaped and changed by first 17 verses of John 15.
“I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples. “As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love. If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love. “These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full. This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends. You are My friends if you do whatever I command you. No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you. You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you. These things I command you, that you love one another. - John 15:1-17
